Just Jammin' Fresh And Def

An object reaches supersonic speed when it exceeds the speed of sound.

The speed of sound varies depending on the state of the transmitting medium (i.e. moisture, temperature, and composition of the material (e.g. air) through which acoustic vibrations travel). But there's one subtle truth they don't teach in high school physics: no matter the medium, J.J. Fad's 1988 megahit is SUPERSONIC. Yup.
