Vista, California is famous for many things. In 2008 it was voted the 7th-best place in the United States for family life. And who could forget its majestic jailhouse and stately portable hot tub manufacturing facility, Watkins Manufacturing Company (recognized as a Top 10 Workplace by San Diego Magazine in 2006)?

Proudly occupying the 438th footnote in the grand history of Vista is this little band: Nickel Creek.

Recipients of the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album, the band broke up in 2007. Vista is sure to carry on as the proud hot tub mecca of the Southwest, but for me... well, I can't help but ask Why Should the Fire Die?

So here's to hot tubs! And here's to a fantastic 8th musical entry on Friday Soundtrack!
